Cameron Diaz / Green Day
April 9, 2005

Due to the fact that I don’t have much time this weekend and because there wasn’t that much to say about tonight’s show anyway, I’m just gonna do the highlights/lowlights of the overall show instead of for each sketch and I’ll do the cast countdown. In fact, I’ll probably be using this format for the rest of the season since there’s only 4 shows left anyway, it saves a lot of time for me, and I honestly haven’t had as much of an interest in the show lately due to the declining quality this season. Plus, I’m really getting bored with using the highlights/lowlights format for each sketch; I’ve been using it for the last three seasons. When I go back to doing the usual longer reviews next season, I’ll most likely use a brand-new format.

Overall Highlights:
· Parnell's performance in the Extreme Makeover sketch
· The TV Funhouse cartoon. Also good to finally see Smigel back after a long absence.
· The Holland Tunnel Hotel sketch, aside from Cameron's weepy (and unfunny) speech about her mother
· Jimmy Fallon's appearance on Weekend Update, especially the part with the kid named Lorne

Overall Lowlights:
· The Papal Debate. A weak cold opening and the whole obscene gestures thing really got run into the ground.
· The Barry Gibb Talk Show being exactly the same as last time with almost no changes. This doesn't surprise me since that happens every time they bring back a sketch that was a surprise hit the first time (i.e. Debbie Downer, Schwetty Balls, even Matt Foley); they try to "recreate" it by using the same basic script as the original.
· Weekend Update, as usual
· Woo! The Musical, minus the parts with the critic reviews
· Sofa Warehouse
· Spy Glass
